Church Ministry

Weekly Rotary Luncheon served by the United Methodist Women.   The women of the church prepare and serve the luncheon meeting  for the Calais Rotary Club.
Monthly public suppers.  The third Thursday of the month a baked bean supper is held at the Church fellowship hall.  The members of the congregation prepare and serve one of the longest running public church suppers in the State of Maine.
Sponsoring of the Food Pantry with the other local Churches of all denominations.  Thursday the pantry is open and provides over a hundred meals a week for families in the Calais area.  The food pantry depends on the generosity of community members to work and provided needed staples for those less fortunate.
Calais Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts are frequently seen at the Church Hall for activities.  The annual pancake breakfast provides not only great food and fellowship but an opportunity for the boys to develop leadership, organizational skill and community awareness.  The annual Christmas Caroling provides the Scouts with a wonderful time to share the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ with the senior citizens in the Methodist Homes Apartments and the close by Nursing Homes.
